BPL had piss easy groups and they struggled. Only City had group with relevant teams. In ro16 all BPL will be knocked out. Same will happen in the EL cause apparently finishing 7th in the league is much bigger achievement than actually putting trophy to club museum. I'd image all the minor clubs have entire wall dedicated to league positions.
