Let me get one thing straight. There is no reason whatsoever for Kobe Bryant to be in the All-Star game this year. The fact that he is first in the voting is ridiculous. What Kobe being an all for the 18th time will do is blur the historical picture that defines him, even if it's a slight change. He will now have yet another undeserved all-star appearance, after playing in just 6 games two seasons ago, 35 games last season, and 30 so far this season. Kobe will have three additional undeserved all-star appearances, counting these years.
He's shooting his lowest FG % of his career at a pathetic 34.8%.
In comparison, Jordan has only been an all-star 14 times. In his last season however, he shot 44.5% from the field, and actually played 67 games. He earned his appearances, whereas Kobe has not.
This isn't to compare Kobe to Jordan, but it suggests that future generations will perhaps place Kobe in a better light than he really was. No, he's not a 18 time all star. He should be remembered as a 15 time all star.

Can someone give me a logical reason to hate him? Whenever I ask my friends why they hate him so much they say it's because he's an arrogant prick who gets every call in his favor. Almost all of the greatest players fit that description though. Jordan, Kobe, Iverson are all way worse human beings who had their dicks sucked by the refs every night. LeBron is just another manufactured superstar used to sell merchandise, Jordan was the exact same. So why is he pretty much the most hated player of all time? Even before "The Decision" he was universally hated. Do people hate him just because it's cool to hate him?
