It's quarters time! At least for the men, since the women will already be playing their semi's today.
We'll start the afternoon session off with Harms - Hughes. Harms has been underperforming and because of that, he has played the maximum amount of sets possible 'till now, while Hughes has been looking like he wants to give up and go home. Or kill himself. Or both. Should be an interesting fixture.
The second match is the big one: Durrant - Waites. Durrant has been "Snackpotting" himself to the quarters, not losing a single set in the proces. Can he keep this up? Waites however, should be happy he's still in the tournament after de Vos decided to choke the match away yesterday.
The evening sessions starts with the first women semi-final Hedman - Peters, and the second semi will be between Gulliver and de Graaf as the third match of the evening. One thing is for sure: don't make any predictions for these matches. The women have been over- and underperforming like it's a tennis tournament without Serena Williams: everybody can win or be knocked out anytime, as Ashton showed us yesterday.
The 2nd and 4th evening session matches will be Smith - Harbour and Mitchell - Veenstra. Harbour, Smith and Veenstra are showing great darts as unseeded players. Will Harbour be able to survive the unleashed Canadian? And will Veenstra be able to knock out the current World Champ? We will see.
