There was this lady who lived right next door to my house. And my parents knew her. Apparently, she was in the middle of getting a divorce or something. But one morning, the ex-husband shows up and fucking shoots her. And he shot the lady's friend who tried to stop him. And then he shot himself.

We had two incidents while I was there.
One lad got stabbed because he was scum associating with other scum. No one was surprised.
The other was this guy who petrol bombed his parents' house. He was older, late teens or early 20s, but his two sisters were at the school. He'd been kicked out so decided the proper response was to chuck petrol bombs through the windows in the middle of the night.
House, which was right over the road from the school, burned down. Both his sisters died in the fire, both parents got out.

I gained a lot of respect for my local PD when it recently came out during a murder trial how they took down a guy who had just finished stabbing five people to death. Anyway. Back to the bit about the police. Police K-9 doggo catches his scent, chases him down, tackles him. Policemen catch up, call off doggo. According to the police report, de Grood gets up and and charges toward police who already had guns drawn (he was unarmed at this time). Based as fuck cop neatly dodges de Grood, other based as fuck cop punches de Grood out and cuffs him. No shots fired. Everybody safe.
