if i don't have autism but i still have no social skills, should i try and get a diagnosis of autism anyway so i have an excuse?

i feel like as a kid i'd have been diagnosed autistic right away, but not anymore. now i'm very good at logically guessing what other people are thinking, probably better at abstract ideas than solid ones, etc. so i'm left wondering if i tell the truth whether the doctor will miss the things that do make me think i might be a tism because of the things that don't line up.
