I had a snooty graduate employment woman as a customer today. Those fuckers know how to put you down hard. Its hard enough knowing you are one of many post-grad failures, but its another matter entirely when you're getting grilled by them for not being on the pulse constantly and not having 100% clear direction.if they actually wanted to be helpful then they could help me find opportunity instead of belittling me.
I have no-one who can help really. I apply for the odd job now and again but know I hardly stand a chance vs hundreds of other well connected normie middle class fuckheads who can get "experience" out the wazoo. And it hurts when I fail because I struggle to detach myself from my hopes. Every failed job application is like a hard punch to the gut that takes the wind out of me and its hard to keep getting back on the horse when you get more and more tired of riding.
The whole experience actually almost gave me a full-on panic attack. I felt terrified even long after the old dragon left. I struggled to control my breathing.
I talk to people around me about how I've pretty much always been actually depressed and how I'm really struggling to stay hopeful these days, and they just don't see it because I can act charismatic and comedic and I don't self-harm or engage in mad self-destructive behaviour.
I just wish I never existed. Why did I have to live when someone else could have been happy to take my place and been successful in life and normal and not-broken?
Love and obligation is all that keeps me going.

Time seems to slip by me too easily now. I can't believe we are already at the end of a year. I'd have been working at my job for 8 years in a few months. Soon it will be 10 and I promised I would kill myself (or much more likely quit) if it gets to that.
I do worry my depression is getting worse though, but I haven't had a good history with councelling.
Growing up, they used to put me down as having "confidence issues" and just threw generic advice at me. I've read into CBT, and I've tried it but it didn't really stick.
I won't go into serious self-harming because my coping mechanism has always been a form of nail/skin biting around my fingers. Ive managed to get it mostly under control but the work isn't engaging enough and I slip back into bad habits.
I feel like I need to do more but my mind is such a chaotic mess that I rarely can think straight or get organised. The intention is there. I've been buying lots of books on different things to read. But with the wageslav work slowly poisoning me and squeezing on my free time I struggle to get into it. I looked into post-grad study but I can't afford to get a loan for a masters. I couldn't even get a mobile phone contract. And I don't qualify for a grant either.
I don't even have the energy for videogames. It's getting that bad.
