The thing is, if this board is deleted, then no complaints about /v/ can be brought up directly on 4chan since mods always delete threads that ask for changes on /v/ unless another board gets so fed up with their shit that they complain loudly enough.
And most of 4chan treats /v/ as a containment board for newfags and underage now, so that's not going to happen. Keeping /qa/ is probably the best option at this moment in time, and for plenty of others to voice their suggestions and complaints as well even though there's a lot of shitposting.

I think it'd just be splitting the board into two parts without changing quality and invite even more opportunities for outside (and different /v/ sides) shitposting crossboarders. Even if /v/ if re-merged after a failure trial, the board wouldn't ever fully recover because a precedent would be set.
/v/'s survived up until now with talking about western and eastern games, even if game quality has dipped. I think there's other solutions.
(I'm not opposed to other splits to get e-celeb/Twitch/not games shit off though, I just think a /jv/ and /wv/ split wouldn't work at this point in time.)

This is a similar reason why splitting /v/ into smaller console oriented boards, which is also another constant suggestion when talks of splitting /v/ come up, also won't work; it encourages shitposting with it's mere presence alone. The only possibility at the moment would be to increase moderation, actually crack down on shitposting, and try to see what can be moved onto another board. I'm for a /cel/ board as it would mean e-celebs/youtube/twitch can just be moved there outright, but is broad enough that it can also help other boards and therefore is something that is worth making.
