Gees I wonder Who's behind this post
What unit is being used here? It's not the same unit used in Five intersecting Tetrahedra, but it looks similar. It's from the book Mathematical Origami by David Mitchell, but I can't find the book anywhere online to download.
>>532062
I think the unit doesn't have a name, neither the book nor his website mentions one.
>>532064
Now if in return some spanish speaking anon would be so kind to translate the instructions, that would be nice.
>>532065
I suppose you also need text besides each picture to build your lego set?
Almost every origami book has a page of two with the obvious symbols that enables you to use the international visual language of origami symbols so that you still can follow any book of any language, even if it says 怠惰な雌犬のあなたの息子、あなたをファック。
my first day doing origami, it's going good so far, but pls wish me more patience
Good job, welcome to the addiction :p
Happy Folding!
Nice, this look good, better than some thing i've done. I also have been doing this for a few weeks.
This is something that I recently folded.

Steps?
How did you people get into your hobby, and why do you like it? I am sincerely curious.
>>528309
My parents gave me an origami book when I was 4 or something like that. I don't remember well.
>>528309
always loved origami, my dream job is to an architect and I love to build models. and even though i couldnt buy those fancy kits papercraft was a much cheaper alternative, so it stuck with me :)

Bought a book at barnes and noble for $10. Had basic diagrams and some paper to start with.
I use it to clear my head, and it helps with my anxiety. I've read there are therapy groups that use it in their sessions.
I've also found that people like stuff you give them, and its a fairly inexpensive hobby.

Yup, they're about $7 a piece. If it's too hard for you to figure out how to use an online store, have your parents help you kid.
Maybe you didn´t think that I didn't want to buy them.
If you don't want to buy them. You can also do them by yourself c:
I recommend you blender+pepakura.
And don't forget ti share your art!
(Just for you to know. /po/ gets mad at pirates. Designing a papercraft is a lot of work, and we respect the work of other people)

except its not really that hard, I could probably make that gas mask in ~30 minutes in wings3D and print it out really quick. don't glorify wintercuck.
OP, if you dont have experience with 3D modeling software, Wings3D is a good start, there's not much of a learning curve and it can export to .obj. And pepakura is free, (you can get the licence keys for free online) plus it's basically importing and spamming Ctrl+L to get it the right size.
make sure to use cardstock if its a large model.

This fellow here is selling what i believe is a model offered for free (and probably created by the same artist)
http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=162621
Now I am not sure if my hunch is right, but he has quite a few papercraft models for sale that I think he just grabbed from the RPF forums.
tl;dr was searching for model to build, was asked to pay, quite sure that rpf has original model for free

Not surprised, Argentinians are the Jews from South-America. mercadolibre is like the Latin version of Jewbay or AlijEW.
if its by the same artist is it really stolen? or do they just happen to also have a product they sell available for free elsewhere?
>>532008
i think what op mean is that all the mask are from the same guy, but another guy is selling them. so the masks are from the "same person"
Hi /po/ just folded this origami beetle. What do you think?
Not /po/ but that is slick as hell. Nice job.

diggin it

I'm currently in the process of making one for my girlfriend as a Christmas present.
Has anyone had experience engineering this sort of stuff?
Do you guys want to see what I've made so far?
Please let me know if this post shouldn't be here for any reason.

With the old thread gone it seems appropriate to begin anew. Feel free to post your collections, your works in progress, or your star hordes!
This was my anniversary present to my girlfriend. It was my first time ever doing stars, and they didn't come out as clean as I would've liked. I used three packs of star paper I picked up from a hobby store. I also cut up some receipts and tickets from dates we'd been on and folded those. It took around fifteen hours total. I threw in some larger construction ones to fill up the box which I regret. they were too...

From the thumbnail it looked like that was a dead chicken that was plucked, rolled in sprinkles and set under a lamp
