That's wrong tho, I use the 1/4in on stuff like valve covers and clutch covers, things with M6 bolts.
The 3/8th I use on stuff like clutch nuts, flywheel nuts/bolts, small head bolts.
The 1/2 I use for larger head bolts and harmonic balancer pulleys.
The 3/4 I use on axle nuts and clutches for snowmobiles, those need 300ft/lb of torque.

I bought my No Fear helmet in 2008, i have crashed with that thing on countless time, even knocked myself out twice and the inner layer of foam is still fine, not even a little crack in it.
Honestly until that foam cracks no need to buy a new helmet.

1/4 can't do over like 20lbs of torque, the 3/8 does 20-100.
The 1/2 does 20-150, the 3/4 does about 60-350 IIRC.
Torque wrenches have ranges, at the bottom of their ranges they get less and less accurate.
VW beetle axle nut is rated at 350ft/lb of torque, I've had to go those a few times changing out the axles.
