Dumb rockists
how can you culturally appropriate your own culture? you cant. considering blacks are not accused of culturally appropriating (as far as im aware), it follows that people think being black = being part of black culture, which would be incredibly racist not to mention idiotic.
its just so retarded that people can shout cultural appropriation whenever a white person does something invented by black people. I get stuff like funk and blues were originally about the struggle and cultural liberation of the black man in the racist shithole that was 20th century america, but its just not valid to call it "cultural appropriation" when a white person does it, and not do it when a black person takes the medium and rips it just as much out of its political context. If tyler the creator was white he'd be the number 1 target of cultural appropriation idiots, for instance.
its really confusing to me. are (american) people so fucking brainwashed by their idea of race that they are capable of such feats of doublethink?
No one with an IQ above 80 takes cultural appropriation seriously mate. Those who do are too dumb to argue with. Don't worry about it so much.
No one actually believes in cultural appropriation. You were tricksed, friend. If a white man can make better black man music than a black man can, no one gives a shit and the music is going to get bought.
Why did you make a new thread for this?

Post an album that sums up (represents/ was your favorite) highschool. Simply, what is your highschool album?
Also share memories you have with this album if you want to.
>In highschool pics related was always playing in my car.
>I loved showing people this album and pretending to get all introspective about it
>My close friends all knew ever word to this album
>We would drive backroads in the country smoking weed and listening to music while trying to get as lost as possible
>I remember getting to see them play in Nashville and all my friends went, still consider that to be one of my favorite concerts i've been to.
>To give time references, I am a senior in college now.

Thoughts on Chiptune bands, and the genre in general?
Anamanaguchi for the most part, this album was ok and Endless Fantasy was too long for my liking
I do like Anamanaguchi but good lord the fanbase is cancerous

Anyone got any local experimental artists who are actually decent? Post some of their stuff if you got it. I'll dig around for some in my town.
Living in a small town in Eastern Finland. There really isn't much local scene. Except Paavoharju comes from my home town.

>Paavoharju
They sound pretty cool so gonna check 'em
Heard these guys a few days ago and thought they were actually pretty decent. Promise I'm not them shilling. Local to /mu/ if that counts:

Now that the dust has settled and I've listened to it over 25 times, what do you guys think?
Personally, I'm blown away by this album. It seems to take so much away from their other albums without being alike. I don't understand how this band can continue to much such great music from such different perspectives.

It's got some good moments to it but there doesn't seem to be enough substance to make it anywhere as good as In Rainbows. Still miles better than The King of Limbs though, so at least they're moving in the right direction.
bland and blurry folky songs with some synths here and there, it does have some great moments th
7/10
the worst thing about this album was Thom Yorke... what the fuck happened to your voice dude
Like the album, but not many great songs, it averages around 6.5-7 at most, I'd probably give it a 7-7.5. Glass Eyes is Radiohead's best track, though, fight me.
