Because half of them are living in the USA.
When the Wall gets built, they'll have 8 years to sing about it.
Mexico has The Chasm, Cenotaph and Brujeria though.
Who in here likes Billy Joel? And what's your favorite BJ's song?

Pasta:
An experiment in a pen-and-paper composing general, made for all the theory autists
This differs from /prod/ in that it is more focused on art music and music theory. That is not to say /prod/'s electronic music is unwelcome, by all means, post here! But follow in the footsteps of the classical composers of the 20th century who experimented in electronic music. But remember, this is NOT /classical/. Any art music, such as jazz, is acceptable
Post clyps, and please post accompanying notation so we can accurately critique your composing from a theory perspective

i like to imagine this and spirit of eden are a double album about the creation of the earth
>>65686066
For me, I would say that Spirit of Eden focuses on the Great Flood that God did in order to rid the earth of all evil. Laughing Stock focuses on the aftermath, after all the water has vanished. The first track on it perfectly paints the scene of a damp, desolate landscape that is serene, yet eerie. The rest of the album focuses on the ventures of the people that survived the flood a few days after everything has settled, slowly watching the earth come back to the state it was prior.

Not a bad way to look at them
I like to think of pic related as being recorded just after the singer killed someone in the room on the cover and is looking for some kind of repentance. He killed someone he was in love with
Dark shit

>This is a concept album about the meeting of Mary Hansen (of Stereolab) and a robot. After her death she finds herself in a kind of purgatory - an unknown dimension, with only some kind of terraforming AI for company. The album maps the gradual creation of her own personal afterlife/ paradise as the AI learns to understand and interpret human emotions (the cover art depicts this) while she comes to term with her own death. While at times melancholic because of this, she never loses a sense...

Good evening fellow prodfriends. I've been working on a solo release for a while now and it's time for me to get started on drums but I'm undecided regarding which sampler to use. After considering my needs and general musical direction I've boiled it down to Kontakt 5, Superior Drummer 2 and Steven Slate Drums 4.
Which would you choose and why?
tl;dr Need drum-sampler, can't decide.
>>65686027
You've been working on a solo release for a while and are just now starting on drums? That's like saying you've been working on a painting for a while but I've only been using four of my ten colors. What. Anyways, what kind of music do you make? That's the biggest factor in deciding.
Just guitar and bass parts so far because reasons but fair enough.
Heavy rock/metal with proggy vibes.
>>65686291
Fair enough. Drums are the backbone of my production, so I couldn't imagine writing anything without writing drums from the start.
I'd recommend superior drummer then. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bge36qT8VpI
