Upload ones you've made, and/or ones you've saved. I think flowcharts are great for people wanting to get into a certain musician or band's discography. I actually made a few. Some input would be great on them, thanks! The first one, pic related, is shit though.

Gray - Shades Of... [2010]
>Have you even heard (of) experimental jazz-hop? This album "embarks on new sonic explorations using a similar sonic palette to that of [Gray's] early work [in the early 1980s]. That palette includes a rather dizzying array of colors, encompassing hip-hop, ambient atmospheres, industrial sounds, minimalism, art funk, moody post-punk, jazzy guitars, spoken word, and even pop." (James Allen in allmusic review) Gray was originally a musical project undertaken by the infamous young artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. To get an idea of what the album is about I suggest watching a documentary titled "The Radiant Child" (2010), which is easy enough to find and well seeded. The documentary tells "a funny story about [Bosquiat] starting a band with his friend at a dance party despite the fact that neither knew very much about music. That band, which also included Nicholas Taylor and Justin Thyme, recorded a handful of genre-less songs that echo early ’80s New York in a specific and rare way, but ultimately drifted into obscurity as a footnote to the art superstar’s biography" (Peter Macia in fader review). The samples are consequtive tracks on the album and completely different in style and tone, as is every track on the album.

Good going man.
Another thing: OPs can no longer bump their own threads, so anons have to respond to them in other to climb on the queue. This isn't a problem for sharethreads, but keep it in mind.
Thanks for doing this mang.
Slowy & 12Vince - Ultima Radio (FLAC) [2014]
>This is the first release of 2014 that I will most likely listen for years to come. These Germans have their own unique take on jazz-hop and it works great. I can listen to four tracks from this album, "High Five", "Jonathan Meese", "Paragraph 303" (sample) and "Sondereinsatzkommando" on repeat throughout the days. I catch very little of the lyrics but the style that these guys ooze transcends the language barrier. In short, some great German jazz-hop.

There's no way they don't know helter skelter or a day in the life. You're probably 12 years old OP.
Why does everything sound better with reverb? sometimes I feel guilty of using it but let's face it: it's magic
>feeling guilty about techniques
ok...
the reason it sounds good is because it adds space and depth. if each element in a mix has the appropriate space and depth and is thoughtfully arranged, it generally always sounds 'good'.
i guess the reason it sounds good is because in the stereo field you have a limited window of which to place things and it takes a lot of practice to do it creatively and effectively
i dunno mate, why are we alive?
>>48965319
I don't think it's a technique, more like a quality
I mean, it's just easy to abuse, just drown everything in reverb and it will probably sound less shitty
I think no reverb at all sounds better than too much reverb, when abused it can spectacularly fuck up a mix and muddy everything up. And there are things that reverb never sounds good on such as kick drums or bass, or anything with low frequencies. Reverb just sounds like hell below about 400hz.
Pic related is what I typically do on my reverb buss. I find that compressing it pretty heavily before the reverb makes it become clearer, and sidechaining it to the kick gives the whole mix a subtle pumping effect. I usually have my sounds pretty dry so my reverb is very subtle, you can't really tell when it's there but you can tell when it isn't, which is how I like reverb sounding.

So how long is it going to be until /mu/'s mods stop jacking off and make posting certain memes a bannable offense?
I seriously feel like the quality of this board has gone down exponentially since I've been here, and the only thing I can really find to point a finger at is all the people who want to keep perpetuating and starting memes to have their fifteen minutes of internet fame.
>ayy lmao
>such a goofballXD
>:^)
>"Why are X fans so stupid?"
>"(genre that is music) is not music"
All of these things serve no purpose other than to assure that no actual discussion of music is had.
I'd also like to see it be a rule violation to post a thread that is about nothing more than how bad a genre or band is. If you don't like a genre or band, don't reply to a thread about them, and definitely don't make a thread about them.
Threads discussing nothing more than waifus are also grossly off-topic. The fact that the women you're fawning over are musicians doesn't make it board appropriate. If you want to discuss waifus, go to /b/ or another board where it is allowed.
pic unrelated.
bump.
I know there's at least one mod here.
I'd like an explanation. Why are these things allowed to perpetuate meme culture?
