I know i'll probably get shit for this, but can anyone rec me some bands that sound similar to pic related? Particularly the songs that are grunge/indie rock sounding, like "Threshold" and "Garbage Truck"

Sure, it's 8 years old but I think it's easily one of those classic albums that was way ahead of it's time.

This is my favorite album of all time, but /mu/ might actually hate it. I've only really met one anon on here that's liked it. It's got such great flow, and I feel like the tracks are very personal and strong.

I have only listened to about 4-5 albums from 2014 so my opinion is literally not worth shit but ill start anyways.
>AOTY- Im stuck between pom pom and pic related. I dont really like the lo fi quality of the earlier tracks on pom pom but ive kind of warmed up to them lately and its really solidifying itself as one of my favorites
Most overrated would have to be FKA Twigs, that album was such a snoozefest and i really must have missed something because i see it being praised quite often here.

Is audio technica 2020 any good for vocals
mainly hip hop type shit.
And some good plug ins for fl studio / ableton etc would be cool. If anyone could help me figure out what to use. FL studio kinda feels like the walmart of production software to me.

There is no "best" DAW. They all have their strong points and limitations. It all depends on your workflow
Having said that, for Hip Hop, FLoops MIGHT be easier to work with than Ableton, thanks to the piano roll that'll allow you to make bars/beets fairly quick.

It all depends on what sound you're looking for. Note: Do not fucking buy anything unless you're 1000% sure you need it. There are plenty of top quality free plugins out there.
