What software does /mu/ use to listen to their music on PC?
WMP
MP3 because
- FLAC takes up too much space, specially for the amount of music one should ideally have
- Don't kid yourself, you're not an archivist
- The audible difference between lossless and lossy music is negligible, again -
- Don't kid yourself, you can't hear the difference and if you think you can you're under the effect of placebo
I like aesthetics and everything working. Would use winamp but I hated it 15 years ago.

More tolerable than most vocaloid, if just for the obscured vocals.
Usually dark music is minimalistic, but is there a good example of dark maximalism?
>>55243310
Requiems
progressive black metal like sigh or something idk
depends on your definition of dark and maximalism
>>55243344
This. Maximalism by composition or instrumentation or whut.
A lot of black metal is founded on the premise of romanticism and sounding menacing and Nihilistic, so I don't think it's the darkness OP is going for.
Technically speaking, serialism. But serialism sucks.
More practically speaking Death Metal and loads of modern classical (Stravinsky for starters).
Any of you like to download music from mega, or even anything in the archive? It's actually pretty easy to get into some serious shit for this. Here is how:
Header probing basically entails an active engine on the network (your ISP backend) looking at the file headers for any files being transmitted. Since a staggering amount of files are transferred just to load web pages and associated images, the engine should be set to only look at the headers of files over a certain size. The captured header traffic is then scanned for keywords, often provided by a content provider...

>>55240810
saw Clark and Nosaj Thing, it was alright
saw Open Mike Eagle, fucking great
saw Grouper and Jefre Cantu-Ledesma and Bitchin' Bajas and Gregg Kowalsky at a small fest amongst others, very memorable
haven't seen much this year but it's cool
>Recent concerts + reviews
Saw a TON of shows in the past week, including Sufjan, Lightning Bolt, Metz, Mark McGuire, The Soft Moon, Cold Specks, and Noveller.
Sufjan was actually a bit underwhelming because of how restrained he sounded (his voice was a bit raspy too), but the interpretations and expansions of the Carrie & Lowell material were stunning. It sounded like he felt obligated to play some material of Illinois and even rushed through Concerning the UFOs..., which made me wish he just played whatever he wanted to instead of appealing...

BATS - Red Tooth & Claw (320kbps)
>Math-rock, post-hardcore. An infectious album that has songs about doing science experiments, other worlds and, huh, rapist exorcists? It's silly fun.

Austin Peralta - Endless Planets (320kbps)
>Jazz, instrumental. Great jazz record and a very accessible one at that. The saxophone playing is amazing. Sadly, Peralta died some time after its release.

Black Widow - Black Widow (320kbps)
>Prog, 70's style. You like Black Sabbath? And Jethro Tull too? Then get this thing. It's like those bands made sweet musical love and spawned this demon. It's a conceptual album too. It tells the story of some dude summoning SATAN. It's fucking great.
