Why don't albums try to imitate film more often? Nowadays, video game developers are trying so hard to be like film directors, but there aren't many examples of musicians doing the same thing. Pic related has it all, a fictional concept, a long running time, and you could even say that the first three tracks are almost like an establishing shot of the plot. ITT: post cinematic albums.
Here's another example. Side A tells a definite and entertaining story.
Because music is its own thing, and a legit artform. Unlike vidya, which has to mimic.
