Is the chrono trigger one based on Never Gonna Give you up
Does anyone actually like this unironically ?
I do. I dislike vaporwave but it gave me a creepy sense of deja vu. I still find some of the songs catchy and its kinda relaxing to listen to in the way that those terrible comp disks sold on television in the early 00s were.

it's kinda soothing. I'd probably go so far as to say I like it.
I think vaportrap is the greatest new genre of this past year.
I'd go far as say misogi, sorrysines, thrash lord, nvrmore, madi Larsen, etc are the best artists this year.
Pure vaporwave is pretty bad usually though

I dunno but I'd "bang" him if you know what I mean.
So is he actually legitimately good, or is he a vaporwave hack? I knew he had some sort of good reputation as an abstract electronic artist or whatever, I read FlyLo giving him praise on some interview and he's on Warp, so I had a pretty good opinion of him. His more aggressive stuff is to my liking, and I figured Replica was alright. But digging through more of his work, it seems like a bunch of stuff he's done is literally just vaporwave bullshit.
Now, if you have high regard for vaporwave, that's fine—I just don't. Maybe it's just my lack of...

nothing under the name of oneohtrix point never is vaporwave
Vaporwave wasn't even a thing back when he made Eccojams and maybe Replica.
did you know that you can just listen to his music and form your own opinion on it instead of asking /mu/ to tell you if he's a meme?
in the time it took you to write this awful thread you could have listened to an OPN track on youtube and decided whether you like it or not
Is this only though of as bad because of how mainstream it made the band? So many people hate this album, and this marked a point where the band became thought of as cheesy and for middle schoolers

look at the cover and you will find your answer

I loved this album when I was 9. I'm 20 now and I still like it
It's a great introduction to concept albums
Any of you all ever sent a letter to an artist you like?
Thinking about sending this guy a letter
>>60309174
ive written a couple of emails
In my final year of high school I named my film for media after a Steven Wilson song and as a way to beef up my portfolio I emailed him and received an email back from his management stating basically that so long as I don't make money off of it it's all good.
>letter
Lol, are we living in the 19th century?
No album consistently makes me incredibly sad like this one does. I want more. What listen?
This doesn't have the same vibe but I feel the same by the end of it. That last song destroys me.

I can't tell if it's just the recording, but if you have a sustain pedal, USE IT.
It's so frustrating to hear people who play piano and never even touch it. It's what defines most of the sound of the piano. JUST USE IT. PLEASE. FOR THE SAKE OF EVERYONE LISTENING.
Other than that, you seem to have a decent voice. I think what you're missing is nuance. You play the notes and sing them fine. If you add dynamics, sustain some of your notes, add vibrato, etc., then you'll display...
