I don't like Animal Collective because they make their music in a very raw, unskilled manner and I prefer music that is more thought out and intelligent.

I love how people here are acting as if they "get" this, I mean even the band members themselves can't take their music seriously (around 39 minutes into the video, check it out). This has to be the biggest troll album of all time, and you idiots have to be the biggest fools of all time to take it seriously when not even the band that made it isn't.
Hilarious as fuck to listen to, you can hear that the band enjoyed making this, while you asshats are masturbating over it as if it were the second coming of Jesus.

My AOTY as well. The melodies and production on this album are so pleasant. A song that makes me wonder why it has such popularity is "New Person, Same Old Mistakes".
Completely average. The good songs are weighed down by the shit ones. I hyped this one at first, even when /mu/ shit talked it, I still believed that it was amazing. Took a bit for the dust to settle to realize that it's an ok album.
