I have tried and I have given up.
Anyway, I've been listening to the Anthology of Chinese Traditional and Folk Music Played on the Guqin pretty much since I got home from school today. It's a bunch of I'm guessing pentatonic (since most china tunes are) plinky plonking and it sounds super stereotypically chinese so to speak. This is what I'd expect to hear in a small chinese fast food store. Not exactly exciting music, but I don't regret listening to it either way. Maybe 6 hours is a bit of a stretch for someone who doesn't "understand" it.

He's not great. Personally, I think the PE aspect of their music feels more lacking than the rap song aspect.
They're atypical, but they could do a better job of representing their influences.
Nonetheless, I recommend Subtle and Techno Animal.

The only "harsh noise" I remember on this album was like the first track and some elements of a couple other tracks. It's great but I don't get it when people call it noise

Actually agree. Loveless is the most overrated album here, did nothing but spawn a load of shitty copycats and basically sucked creativity out of a section of the music scene at the time. Like OK Computer but worse

Public Strain
Lo-fi, jangley alternative rock. I wouldn't say vocals are the strong point, but it has the perfect blend of melody and dissonance without straining your ears or overflowing your senses. Fantastic album, even on the first listen.
If you really aren't digging it then skip straight to the last track " Eyesore," it's a great one.
