I want to fuck bill in the ass so hard and hear his sissy moans.
It's bad.
This has to be the worst album cover of all time.
Looking at it makes me want to punch my screen.

I literally came to this thread to say the exact same thing
Of course, what else did you expect?
This isn't just the bet Tame Impala record, it's one of the best of the year and possibly the decade. Kevin uses the synths and drum machines like Schubert used the piano and Brian Wilson used the studio, crafting songs with loads of text painting to craft pop art songs. From the suspenseful sustained chords of Let it Happen to the musical drama in Yes I'm Changing to the never resolving tension in Eventually, this is a masterpiece in pop music unrivaled by all but the greatest of all time.
Lonerism was better because he wasn't acting like a pretentious twit

Lonerism doesn't have half the inspiration of Currents.
Tame Impala is hands down the best band in the world right now. They are not pretty good, they are pretty incredible. But more than just how good they are, They represent the first ripple in a massive change that we are about to go through musically as well as culturally. I think that over the course of the next 10 years we are going to see a sort of mini-renaissance similar to what we saw in the late 50s-60s post war. With pot and gay marriage soon to be legal federally its gonna be a whole new world. 2012 end of the world isn't the end of human life, its the end of one...

Been listening to some trippy AF Animal Collective shows and figured why not have a neo-psych thread. Post your favorite albums and charts.
Here is the show in question. If you're a fan of Feels's guitar style, here it is in all it's delay heavy glory.

Here's a neo-psychedelic chart some /mu/tant made a while back. I had some input on some of the albums on it.
60's psychedelic chart
80's psychedelic chart
I frequented mu a lot in the past. I find that the main point of this forum is to try to be better than others, and to dwell on negative things. After recovering from depression, I can't get into most of the music that this forum likes to say is good. I'd much rather listen to music that just makes me feel like a normal pleb. There were studies that recently came out saying that men tend to use negative music to ruminate in, while women use positive music to uplight themselves. No wonder no women don't become music nerds.
Nice strawmaning

i've been told i may have depression but i always stopped going to the psychologist after they told me that
i don't really care in all honesty, although a lot of the music i listen goes more to the ''dark'' side of music than to the depressing one
yes i nearly killed myself last week still might. ive been as long as i can remember

I know this is shallow, but I really fucking hate that cover and album title and it's putting me off listening to it. It's a shame because See Birds and Wander/Wonder were great.
