I was wondering if the resident music critiques could rate a 24 second clip of me singing something.
I was singing in the car once by mistake and the lady by my side mentioned I have a very nice singing voice.
So here it is. Do you guys and girls think that people would ever enjoy hearing me sing about things?

julia vs joanna
pick one
Julia, easily.
>actual compositional ability
>no D&D purple prose lyricism
>not piggybacking on O'Rourke and others' ability
joanna is more talented, makes better music and has better ass

are these guys the saviors of music?
Arca is definitely a cool, unique, forward-thinking guy. Always interesting to check out his work

good morning
Okay /mu/ I'm gonna say it before the pitchfork review or before people start loving this album to death. It's just meh. That's it. The Avalanches promised a album that would be, and I quote, "so fucking party." Instead we get songs that sound like they were made in ableton and only 3 top jams
>The noisy eater
>Frankie Sinatra
>Subway
We got a slow album with no momentum and a slow build to nothing...... But that do you think /mu/?
>>66102277
>just meh
this

I doubt P4k will rate it any higher than 7.5

Mad Professor, not Scientist – but otherwise you're correct.
What does /mu/ think of Heart?
>>66101750
Two bimbos who got mad that Sarah Palin used one of their songs.
Other than that, not much.
>>66101750
Dreamboat Annie and Little Queen are fantastic mid/late 70s pop rock albums. Everything after is a slow descent in to shit. 80s Heart is cringe. Ann can really belt it out.
Ann Wilson>Janis Joplin
They're ok if you were a white trash 14 year old girl in the late 70s.
damn that albums great

Recommend me a good /mu/core movie, just watched frank after seeing it posted on here and was pretty good.
frank?
i have no idea what you mean by 'mu/core/ movie'
>>66101494
im assuming op means music related movies that /mu/ would approve of, i.e. high fidelity or documentaries/live music i.e. stop making sense

Good music related movie
If videogame music is far inferior to regular music because it was made to compliment what's happening on the screen and in the players hands, then would listening to the music while playing the game make it as valuable as real music?
Or perhaps, instead of album versions of the track, they could release a version that includes ingame sound effects/dialogue/etc. to compliment the track, just as the track complimented it?

games and movies scores should not be compared to regular albums because of the reasons you gave
I don't think simply adding sounds from the game changes that. You are still not playing the game.
>>66101418
I don't know, the sound effects actually help with visualizing the situation within the game, and if you've never played it, would allow you to interpret something thematically similar but imaginatively different from the source material.
I think my original argument boiled down to simply comparing entire videogames to music, in which at that point there could be grounds to actually ban scores that weren't made independent of the film/game.
