First of all i think that this ep is full with amazing production by earl himself. It's really lo-fi and grimey just like his album IDLSIDGO. But this ep over here was just crazy. When he talks about his grandmother i kinda got emotional and got me thinking about the old days with my grandmother. Earl makes the sort of music that is kinda in touch with your emotion and he does this so well that it's going to make you think about earl his life. He tells you how it is and he directs you into the music and it's this feeling i get that i just can't explain. For all the people out there please listen to IDLSIDGO first and then go listen to 'solace'. It will not be dissapoiting i swear!

Solace was my favorite song of the year. It was much more experimental than IDLSIDGO, and the lyrics were more touching as well. It seems very inspired from Lil Ugly Mane, specifically Uneven Compromise.
As for how underrated it is, it got some attention when it was released, but didn't get to much mention afterwards. However, looking at Fantanos favorite EP's from 2015, it's obvious more people will like it.

It was so criminally underrated. It was the best thing Earl had put out.
Also, has anybody noticed hip hop has gotten much more depressing? With Earl now, Oblivion Access, and On GP, things have kinda gotten darker.

why does anyone care? this literally seems like publicity stunt to get young peopel to care about the miss universe contest... no young people believe in that shitty objectifiation and unrealisitc beauty standards or in the idea of being judged based on appearane. its an outdated no one outside of old women who bought into the idea that beauty defined them when they were younger and old creepy dads.... i feel like this was a publicity stunt to generate memes and cause an internet stur to generate interest from younger generations and it somehow worked.
sorta like the starbuks cups thing... no one actually cared about the cups change but somehow they publicized it saying wow people dont lke the cups XD. and then idiots bought into saying "omg hwo could people be upset about such a trivial thing as cups"

She had more time and probably inspiration and excitement to write Lungs.
After its success, she was obviously thrilled to make Ceremonials, but I'm guessing she kind of just lost it in the midst of creating HBHBHB.
To be fair, you should check out the album's videos.
The Odyssey is pretty amazing, my personal favourite is Queen of Peace and Long & Lost(Chapters 4 and 5)

No, I can't fall too deep into sleep with music. I tend to wake up a bit every 15-30 minutes and then rest peacefully when the album finishes.
On my first listen. It was surreal, I never fell completely into sleep but drifted in and out. Slippi woke me right up though. Cool experience.

Secondly, the BEST album out of all of those is Lift your Skinny Fists like Antennas to Heaven.
LYSFLAH> OKC > Madvillainy > Illinois > GKMC > Funeral, i don't give a shit anymore
