is this song about the genocide?
>>
>>61612186
not entirely sure what the song is about because it's sung in Arabic-armenian and their language is to us how Portuguese is to Spainish. incomprehensible blabber, singing's nice though. The only reason i picked this is because "normal" armenian music sounds a little something like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7HDJqXnoqk
yeah not exactly the best thing in the world but it's pretty fun to dance and sing to when you're really drunk with your friends. most armo music is like this unless you go way back into folk songs and choir chants and shit or listen to Armenian Navy Band or some shit that mixes Armenian music with other genres

No, this should not synonymous with cringe thread. RHCP is severely underrated within the confines of /mu/ imo. Never understood the hatred towards them here.

Personally, I don't think they've released a bad album. Stadium Arcadium should've been a single album, but even that had some fantastic moments.

Not to mention, they've had some pretty fucking impressive members:

John Frusciante: my favorite currently living artist. Phenomenal guitar player and writer. Check out all of his solo work if you haven't already, it ranges from experimental rock to avant-garde lo-fi folk to even IDM & acid house.

Flea: god-tier bassist. Collaborated with The Mars Volta a few times, and was great on Amok. He was also a nihilist in the Big Lebowski.

Josh Klinghoffer: started one of the best currently active alt-rock bands, Dot Hacker. Did some great collaborations with John Frusciante in the early 2000s.

Anthony Kiedis: Ok, I'm aware that he's probably a big part of the reason most of you hate him. However, it's pretty hard to hate him after having read his autobiography. He's a cool guy with a cool story. Not to mention, his vocals only got progressively better.

Jack Irons: released a fucking fantastic experimental drum album in 2003(?)

Cliff Martinez: scored Drive and recorded with Captain Beefheart

Dave Navarro: p great guitar player

Hillel Slovak: had a really great, unique playing style. rip

Chad Smith: about as good as alt-rock drummers get

Listen to 36 chambers and then try their better albums like Only 4 Cuban Linx or Liquid Swords, according to taste

what are you talking about? it's insanely popular. insanely because it's truly one of his weaker efforts. only one good song on the whole album: one more cup of coffee. other than desirée is a dud.

Despite the naysayers, this album was actually pretty good. A little over-saturated at times but it still stands up with the band's earlier works.

Interested to hear /mu/'s thoughts on it.

It's not bad, it's just not up to the standard of their other stuff. It's got some great songs on it.
