Pretty much. It really is a shame as Explosions in the Sky an G!YBE have turned it into crescendo-core, which is sad because while theres some great work that heavily emphasizes crescendos, there's no innovation

What are some albums like Mount Eerie? Not necessarily sonically, but in the sense that they act as one piece and are almost mythological in their presentation. This album practically transcends music to become something more powerful, and I desperately want to find something on the same level.

Dookie was genuinely good, and truly relevant. This album you're promoting was their sellout album. They had turned their back on their sound and applied themselves to a political agenda that was not (i believe) their own.
I thought this album was honestly going to be a flop, from frankie sinatra's single version not being that good and just the leaks being just ok, but I was wrong. Every moment of this just makes you feel good like SILY, The album version of Frankie Sinatra is a pretty good song as well, This honestly lived up to the hype and is 100% aoty material for me and a lot of others I'm betting.
