Holy fuck what a god-awful piece of shit. Loading an album with a bunch of half-assed genres is never a good idea. It's not easy for a 45-minute long album to feel like it stretches on for hours, but this certainly pulls it off. This is a glorified System of a Down/Red Hot Chili Peppers mashup for avant-teens who haven't quite outgrown those shit bands. In what world are people impressed by this abysmal trash.

That's not twelve-tone though, it's chromatic, at times microtonal, but definitely tonal. I think the entire concept of atonality might be so at odds with the end goal of pop music that it's actually impossible.

I dont think it makes sense to compare LA to You're Dead (for example). What he is trying to accomplish on YD seems so different compared to LA. The hip hop influence you hear on almost every track on LA is basically non-existent on many of the tracks on YD.
