I'm a noob when it comes to guitars/amps/pickups but I'm highly interested. I have a Lyon and a Strat. What would be the best affordable electric guitar under 250? I like bright and mid-range tones, which some say would fall into the Stratocaster field, but are there other electric guitars with the same features? Sorry for the noobness.
Diminished coolness: On any Dom7b9 you can play whole/half or half/whole diminished scale. So it's like two modes, which probably explains this weird hybrid scale Jeff Loomis is using. It's a mixture of both but it doesn't properly repeat at the next octave. If I find it, I'll post it.
