God, progressive rock is so fucking terrible.
Genres I don't like > Genres I like
Anybody who disagrees is a pleb

While you may have some points Genres i like are objectively superior
What do you guys think of Hamilton? Musicals in general?
On Hamilton, I've never seen the musical on broadway, but judging from the soundtrack i guess it has a cool concept and story overall. However I think it plays a little safe (lyricwise, being a rap record) and the music itself feels a little unauthentic.
I like musicals, but there hasn't been a single one whose music I really liked. But i really enjoy the dramatic part of them.
A wonderful triumph in cultural Marxism

Hey I hate hip hop and black people in general but this musical is great
The Gift is the best track to be honest
>>61997016
>AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
It's overlong, it holds up so poorly to repeated listens and the instrumental is boring af. It takes up almost a quarter of the albums running time and it borderline ruins it outright. It and Murder Mystery are the only songs I actually skip on albums I otherwise enjoy.
Agreed. But listening to it through headphones makes it the worst song on the album
What do you think of this album? I didn't like it that much since it didn't have the same dark and melancholic sound that TOBTL did.
>>61996984
I haven't heard it, but considering their previous album boiled down to being a Joy Division/Chameleons cover-band with shitty lyrics I doubt I'm missing much.
>>61997011
I get why they are compared to Joy Division due to the similarity of the vocals. Never got how they similar to the Chameleons.
>>61997011
Lmao you're talking out of your ass. They sound nothing like Joy Division. Their bass isn't as minimal and they feature a lot of dual guitar work. They also sound nothing like The Chameleons, who had a strong dream pop sound. TOTBL focus a lot on atmosphere, but that's it. You'd have a case if you said they sound like My Dad Is Dead, and even then it's just the vocals.
>>61996984
More rockier than the debut with less focus on atmosphere....

Here's the deal, I've listened to Kid A like 7 times but I really don't find it that great, but I really like some of the songs, namely
>Everything In Its Right Place
>National Anthem
>Idioteque ( really really love this one)
Can you guys recommend me some albums based on this? Thanks
This, although I've listened to it only once.
>>61996904
Thanks, but that kind if sounds like the songs in Kid A that I didn't list, like the opposite of what I like desu. I'm looking for something faster, with more energy to it

ITT: Comfy-tier dream pop

Fucking love that whole album
While I like Alvvays, it's a stretch to call it dream pop.

What is the most underrated album of all time and why is it Street Hassle?
>the first album ever recorded in binaural
>concept album about the most influential man in rock music becoming a self parody
>features an 11 minute part spoken word centerpiece that is simultaneously the best rock opera and the best poem of all time
>the album that without a doubt established lou reed as the voice of new york
>mostly live recordings,...

Lou Reed is so cool
lou reed also pretty much invented noise rock on metal machine music and was part of the velvet underground
Its too bad he had to die after making that awful lulu album.
Although bowie said he liked lulu and it was 2deep4u and will be understood in the future
>has a song about wanting to be black and having a 9 inch dick
wew lad, that was embarassing as fuck. Even if it's ''self parody''
Sorry... this is his... worst fucking album. I've heard the songs on here repeatedly and none of them stick out except the title track. Every other song fades into obscurity and blankness. Nothing is memorable or moving about them.
Fuck this album for challenging me with its nothingness. FUCK THIS ALBUM.
>Not liking THE SEEEEEEEEEEEECREET LIIIIFEE OF ARRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAIBIIIIIIIIA
