I saw Vintage Trouble a few years back and there was a guy like that there. Pounding the ground with his fists while kneeling, throwing his arms up all the time, his hat went somewhere off in the back of the crowd. shouting things like "AW YES!!! OMG". He was probably frying really hard but I was super jealous just for the passion

Exactly. People make fun of the picture and it's become quite notorious on internet circles, but those guys were probably in a state of pure ecstasy (the feeling not the drug). If I could feel half as happy as those guys are, I'd be in heaven.

I've sincerely never seen anyone make fun of this pic. It's literally the poster child for audience engagement. I've never seen a pic with people THIS into the person onstage and what they're doing.
I saw Ride a couple months back with my friend and I stood in the very front row and banged all of the drum parts on the railing like a flailing sperg and I doubt I looked as #aesthetic as these guys. If someone got a pic of me it would be so fucking unflattering.
