I was first getting into Animal Collective, and I saw that this album was listed as "Noise Pop". I've only ever seen that term applied to bands like Pavement, so I assumed that it would sound similar to that.
I was wrong. So very wrong.

I think what I enjoy most about them is the the way in which they're sort of intimate, with limited instruments, but I'm not sure. I like the slow piano, but I'm not necessarily looking for just piano music--I'd appreciate any recommendations that you think are similar in any way. (It also doesn't have to be French.) Thanks!

I just had the brightest idea of loading up Soon by Mbv in Audacity and slowing the song down by 20% with "Change speed".
