'European Son' is literally the worst song I've heard in my entire existence. It was like a group of edgy wannabe 12 year olds raided Guitar Center and rushed back to their garage and started banging their half tuned instruments in their worst attempt possible.
I had to stop it half way through, because, being completely honest here, it was giving me a fucking headache off of how fucking bad it was.
I shiver every time I think of clicking play again on that fucking song.

overall rating is in parenthesis. you guys agree with this? I currently own a pair of sennheister hd 280 pros, have had them for about a year now and I love them. also have a pair of skullcandy earbuds for when I'm out on the go, they're cheap and they have the mic on the cord so I can use it as a hands free device if I'm driving. I honestly didn't expect sony to be this high. and to be honest, I haven't heard of the top three lol.
I have some shure earbuds and they're tops

I thought that ambient/drone music needed a flowchart in the same vein as the huge shoegaze charts. I didn't want to miss anything though, so first I want to gather up all the essential ambient albums that /mu/ thinks need to be on a flowchart. I want there to be sections of genres like dark ambient and drone.
In this thread, post an image of an album you would like to see on the chart, as well as any way it could relate to an album that has already been posted. Supply a basic genre descriptor and a youtube link if possible.

Lost my passion for playing guitar. Most of the music is just too easy to play. No satisfaction after learning a song in a day, decided to try and play classical music on it and it just doesn't fit the bill. Moonlight sonata, the Bach cello suites, Four Seasons, the generics that typically sound refreshing no matter how many times played failed to incite emotional response on my guitars.
Decided to pick up a classical string instrument, or maybe something /mu/ recommends.
Currently holding $2,500 to buy said instrument/related accessories. I'm eyeing a nice Cello, Bow, Hard Case and accessories right now.
Any recommendations? The Cello is well built. spruce top, maple back and sides, ebony fingerboard, ebony fittings, Composite tailpiece with built in tuners (basically higher end plastic) carbon fiber end pin. Beautiful varnish. Was considering a composite bow but I think I'll stick to classic Brazil wood. Resin and extra hairs as a backup, I think I'll get the composite as a backup.
Learning a string instrument is a miserable experience without a private tutor.

I have a private tutor in the local area. $60 a session for 12 weeks. Degree's from local Universities, teaches music classes as a day time job to K-12 students. Looking forward to it, she's really nice.

I play 'cello and I definitely recommend it, either that or the viola. I'm learning the harp at the moment and the world is always short on harpists so if you have room for one, go down that path.
