This one is quite nice, some of their other songs are a bit more occult sounding than I would like, but still pretty good

I can see why you recommended them, but it seems like they escalate past the point where I would want them to stay (like in the first song I linked) most of the time but some of their songs fit really well into what I'm looking for though, like Smokey Room, PTSD and especially Stray Dog.

"Folk" is a pretty broad term. Do you mean acoustic singer songwriter stuff like Dylan? Or weird acoustic stuff like Natalie Rose LeBrecht? Or weird chamber stuff like Cukor Bila Smert'? Or "world music"?
