Recently purhcased myself a 6 string bass and im trying to figure out some tuning questions that i've come across.
If i wanted to put the bass in drop A, would it be G A E A D B, or something else that im unaware of.
Also, general music theory thread.
Standard tuning for 6 strings bass is BEADGC

Bill hicks is the shit though.
I don't hate Tool. I just think a lot of their music is kind of boring. That said, they have written some pretty decent songs and I think Maynard is an alright guy from what I've seen. They have good instrumentation with groovy odd time signatures sometimes but still isn't really my swag. Wings for Marie is genuinely beautiful though.
Lets be honest here, these guys are literally just Coldplay, except their grandpas and thery're music is more shitty.

Classical critics rank the highly controversial Beethoven over classical musicians who were highly popular in courts around Europe. Rock critics are still blinded by commercial success. The Beatles sold more than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore they must have been the greatest. Jazz critics grow up listening to a lot of jazz music of the past, classical critics grow up listening to a lot of classical music of the past. Rock critics are often totally ignorant of the rock music of the past, they barely know the best sellers. No wonder they will think that the Beatles did anything worthy of being saved.
