What time signatures are the songs on this in? I'm trying to get better at picking that out. I think Good Morning Captain is 9/8 time?
Also any tips for getting better at recognizing the time signature when I hear it?
It's called math rock because the time signatures require advanced mathematics to figure out. Wish I could help!
haven't listened in a few weeks and never counted it out, but I'm like fairly sure that every song on this album has time signatures that change regularly
I was only able to figure out Good Morning Captain because rhythm guitar would change chords every measure, and I counted up the number of beats. How do I do it when that isn't an option?

Hey guys, first time in /mu/ and I was wondering if someone can recommend some vaporwave like songs/artists but better and with "more content" no so much "plain" like vaporwave (I don't know how else to explain it).

How does /mu/ feel about this project? I thought Du∆lity was a fun album with an interesting theme in the same vein of MF Doom. Obviously the lyrics aren't as high-tier as some of Doom's stuff, but the mixing and the samples from this are just really damn good.

Let's get a King Crimson general going please. What're everyone's thoughts on this new lineup? Especially now that the latest live album is out and we have a chance to hear original material from this lineup?
I've heard both live albums from this lineup and I have seen this lineup live, and I have to say that I'm very impressed. The three drummers are easier to appreciate and notice when you see it live, and I really like how they utilize three percussionists to fill space in a very subtle but creative way. I also really like the new songs, Meltdown sounds has some very Discipline-esque guitar interlocking going on, but there's saxophone and more dissonance involved. Radical Action To Unseat The Old Of Monkey Mind is heavy as hell, really giving me some 70s vibes, but also very distinct to this lineup. Really excited to hear a full album from this group.
