this is Yes's 3rd best album and Genesis' best one with Peter Gabriel, aside from the cringey playlist name nothing to be ashamed about my man

Pretending to like Les Rallizes Denudes, This Heat, Coil, Albert Ayler, etc.

How great of an art form is music?

Music isn't art.

Music is the highest, purest artform because it is more or less incomprehensible, totally interpretive.
Also Pet Sounds isn't the best you retard.

Unrelated but does this show get better? Because I watched the first two episodes and I don't think I cracked a smile once, the delivery was so bad.

>take music appreciation class as an elective
>worried about the class not being about listening to my favorite /mu/core but everyone says it's an easy A so whatever
>find out the professor actually has a lot of useful and insightful things to teach us
>listen to classical, jazz, dadrock, and scarufficore over the school year
>using what I learned in class, realize it's all very interesting musically
>however, miss the intense emotional reaction I got from /mu/core favorites
>try to listen to previously beloved /mu/core for the first time in a while
>tfw not finding it as amazing as I remembered it to be
>tfw can't stop thinking how trivial the composition is, or how derivative the musical ideas are
>tfw now only listen to music to coldly analyze and appreciate it instead of actually emotionally moved by it
>tfw will never have an intense emotional reaction from music ever again

Has anyone else gone what I've been through?
Is there any way to "plebify" myself again?

it's okay anon. you can air out your insecurities here, but I don't believe you actually believe what you're saying. I've made probably close to 100 threads on /lgbt/ about how I'm not gay but I love dicks. I think it's pretty much the same thing you're doing.
>>
Don't worry, OP. You're the biggest pleb of all if you lose the ability to enjoy something just because you can analyse it.

I mean I'm amazed you were even able to enjoy entry-level /mu/core from the get go you're so pleb.

also nice job for those /mu/tants who said that you "should be proud about to show this cover" in that thread. i sure do want my friends to see pictures of men kissing on my phone.

The existence of musicals is an example of why America is so shitty at art. America couldn't settle for opera, noooooooooooooooo...we have to make a shittier opera with less technique, no thoughtful compositions, and remove the poetic librettos.

Instead let's just do fucking pop songs for 2 hours. Fucking genius.

REM is so weird

I've listened to pretty much their entire discog except their 2000s stuff and I'm sure I liked a lot of it. I've definitely been a big fan of AFTP and Murmur at different points in my life

But whenever I think REM, I think 'boring'. I don't even know why, I like a lot of their stuff. But just thinking about the band makes me feel bored. seems kind of unfair

I'm fond of Rammstein's music but I don't like OOMPH, Eisbrecher etc. Do you know artists who produce music like Rammstein's?

used to be pretty into rammstein

I know of this jewish rammstein, which is pretty ironic... really sounds like if he made it himself https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMAje4xshjk

Rammstein is really good. Sadly I just have never found other industrial like that of their quality.

Well yeah the song's not very good but that's weird to me how much someone can sound like Till.
