I like indie rock but parquet courts is just so generic and shitty
their KEXP live set is really good, more unhinged and loose than their studio stuff. they aren't doing anything pavement etc. haven't done, but they are pretty solid. not innovative, at least on Light Up Gold, but i would say they're good. "SOCRATES DIED IN THE FUCKING GUTTER" best lyric by them imo

I've wanted to get into classical music for a while now. It's just that with all the different periods, composers, pieces, and recordings, it's intimidating finding a good place to start.

Look for a collection called The Top 100 Masterpieces of Classical Music. If you search 'classical' on TPB, it should be on the first page. It's a great introduction to each time period without just being a collection of pieces you've heard a million times already in movies and commercials.
Has anyone noticed the complete lack of live show bootleg culture today? If you look up old bands like Led Zeppelin, you find dozens of their shows that people taped for bootlegs, and they exist as historical documents of the music and time, yet today when taping and distributing tapes of shows is easier than ever, almost no one even thinks to do it. Look at Death Grips, a massively important band that played comparatively few shows at all, and there's basically only one live bootleg of them. You would think at least someone seeing what was gonna be their final tour would have cared enough about music history to record the experience.
It's the same way with almost every band save for a few jam bands. You guys have no idea what you are missing out on honestly. Taper culture gave me hours of fun growing up as a fan of The Mars Volta.
