I think it works in degrees. A mild fetish is probably a healthy thing. If something makes you happy and doesn't hurt others then I see no problem.
I have a few friends though who seem to be extremely unhappy, suffering gender dysphoria, and that's distressing for me as I want them to be happy in life of course. Well I finally did it /lgbt/. I saw a doctor yesterday, and she (MtF trans herself) fast tracked me to getting me on hormones. As of a few hours ago, I'm on a cocktail of spiro, estra, and finasteride. As happy as I am to have finally taken the leap and followed my heart, I'm scared about what might happen, and whether I'll ever get a body I'm truly happy with. Still, it's better than reaching 50 and realizing I'm too gross to ever be pretty ever again.
