Not necessarily. There are plenty of genetic conditions that make it nearly impossible for one to reproduce, yet they still persist. Recessive traits and kin selection are a likely explanation.

Think of it like a spectrum. You have some trans feelings but they aren't strong enough to justify transitioning. For me, transitioning was the only way that I felt I could go on living my life.
