My grandpa gave me one as a first gun, I like it. It's really good to learn/teach on. Unfortunately mine is starting to have a few problems, and doesn't have much life left in it. It's not fancy, but it puts holes where you point it, and that's really what matters in the end.

I was actually kinda surprised when I first unboxed it. Shot pretty straight with no adjustments, and was surprisingly quiet.
Take down is a bitch though. Those two pivot points might as well be welded to the gun.
Okay, I will be getting my NY pistol permit here soon. I'm a 45 guy so don't try to sell me on 9mm. I shot guns before and my mom has a shit load of handguns as has a full carry. I am well with firearms and all that so don't take me for an idiot. Although I just might be. I love the glock and how it feels, and my gf just got a Glock 19 gen for so now she's the man in this relationship.im a big stocky guy btw. so for my first handgun I will be getting 45.cal glock, but which one do you guys like I need opinions on just the glock. No get a 1911, my mom has a colt gold cup, nice fucking gun btw. Also I'm getting the glock for $550 as my gf works at a outdoors store. BTW I might fall asleep, sorry.

So I had an idea for a new kind of pistol holster. I'm not from around here, but I'd like to see what the gun guys think.
Essentially, it's a holster with a keypad lock. If you don't enter the combo, it sends an alert to the local police. If a gang of dindus jumps you on the way home, you'll have backup before they manage to sulk into the shadows. If someone steals your gun, they'll be apprehended before they can do any damage.
And, yeah, it'll probably be prohibitively expensive.

I shot a glock 17 for the first time today (along with a springfield xds), and it was okay. Except, we only fired 50 rounds and had a failure to eject the spent casing.

I'm no gun expert.. but it might depend on the ammo you were using.. steel or copper?
And probably plenty of other things too.
I've had copper rounds eject no problemo, and had steel casings get jammed up more often than I'd like..

Have you ever accidentally dry fired a gun while drinking or drunk?
I am looking to get a pistol before the upcoming election/racewar/apocalypse.
Problem is, not 21 so I can't buy from an ffl. I'd like to be able to feel up some pistols before getting one as a gift or getting one used.
Would a gunshop have any issues with me looking at a few? I'd probably buy a box of ammo or two since they wouldn't be able to get a sale from me.
Mainly thinking of Canik TP9V2 for a full sized or a Radom P64 as a CCW.

Not sure, but I know what I'll be shooting at next trip to the range. I suspect it will work against .22lr and maybe birdshot.
