If you prefer mountains over beaches, I'd suggest visiting the northern states like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh etc

Was there during the second time, lived in a small village called Arromanches-les-Bains. It was so comfy, small and just beautiful in general. And it also had the best oysters I've ever had in my life.
