Can someone help me find who made this or where it comes from?

see bottom right.

next time reverse image search and sleuth a bit before asking someone to find it for you, it isn't what /ic/ is for. 9 times out of 10 even if the results don't point you directly to the source, you can find the source from someone reposting it on pinterest, favoriting it on deviantart, reblogging it on tumblr, etc.

Sorry, I just noticed the image was cropped and thought it was a cold trail.

How come I am still embarrassed to upload my artwork anywhere? When compared to some the other crap on deviantart, I'm a lot better. Am I just a pussy? Or are the authors of the furry and sonic OC's just really stupid?

>Am I just a pussy?

Yes.

Generally the worst that can happen is nobody pays any attention to what you draw as it gets lost in the sea of other garbage on all art social media.

If you're particularly bad maybe /ic/ will put you in one of those facetious improvement threads or cringe threads, but that's generally reserved for literally autistic people.

Depends, are you in high school already? Or are you still waiting for the hell that is 8th grade to be over?

I'll just say that if you haven't gone to a high school homecoming yet, it's mediocre. If you are in or past high school, read the sticky and work hard at it.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Art, is in fact, Painting - Art, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Painting minus Art. Art is not simply referring to creating of images unto itself, but rather the act of creation (in our context, painting) to serve some higher purpose or give pleasure to the viewer. Many painters run a make this mistake everyday, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the term Illustration is widely used today is often called “Art”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically Art but with all meaning removed and replaced with simple pleasing forms.
There really is Illustration in Art, and these people are creating it, but it is just a part of the medium of transmission they use, . Illustration is the colours and forms: The simple constructs to create the image or appearance of the subject. Illustration is an essential part of a Art object, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of simple depiction of subject. Illustration is normally used in combination with a meaning or purpose to create Art. The whole system is basically Illustration with meaning added, or Art/Painting. All the so-called “Art” objects are really objects of painting - Art.

Amazon/ Graphics/ Draw Tablet thread

Hey guys, I got a $50 gift card for Amazon, and I've wanted to buy a tablet for drawing for quite some time now. I'm on a budget, so I'd like to keep it 50$ or under, but I can go just a little bit over. Does anyone have a good one they would recommend? I'd prefer it be around 10 inches.

Also, the for the Ugee, I've found two different sellers selling the same version of it, and one has 8 reviews and all are five stars besides one, and another one has over 1 hundred and most are 5 stars and pretty lengthy but something seems fishy to me about it. I think I'm just paranoid though.

I'll suggest you to leave out these brands and go for a wacom, maybe for this in sale

I don't know if you can get a 10 inch with that price
>>
>>2324592
Some of the ones i posted had a 10 inch active area for around that price. I know Wacom is the topdog, but I'm a beginner and I have heard from many youtube animators (mainly from podcasts) saying that you don't even need the top of the line gear to be a good animator. I'm pretty sure that's not what you were implying or anything but still.

Do you guys know any digital artists that are painterly? I mean with visible brushstrokes and lots of textures.

What should I do to archive a painterly look?

dead end copy editor job making 16 dollars an hour. Fortunately I had no student loans because I was on a full scholarship but life sure would have been easier if I had majored in accounting or engineering though... The sad thing is though that just by having a full time job with benefits, making as little as I am, I'm doing better than pretty much all of my friends that also did non stem degrees.

oh and art is just a hobby for me. I only started 6 months ago and have no illusions about gitting gud, just having fun. Though now I wish I had taken some studio art courses instead of the other electives I did take.
