Oh ok, thanks for providing no help at all.
Here is advice from someone who just started drawing. draw a picture right now to your absolute best of abilities and put it away. keep drawing, and a month from now take that picture out and ask yourself if you can do it better. This for me is the only way for me to see progress. if you want to copy a certain style, then its alot easier i think because you have something to work towards.
Since I need things that do not currently exist in the form I want them, I need to start drawing. However I had lost all my drawing skill having not used it, and since I'm poor all I have to work with is this damn clitmouse on my laptop. Is there any hope?

Looks pretty good. You can draw just 1-2 hours a day, take days off and still improve. Keep practicing and you'll be drawing pictures like that or even better in two minutes.
No artist calls their drawings not shit. They just call them passable, I believe. While they might look amazing to outsiders.

the issue isn't the request threads being started by the ones requesting, but rather artists who are bored opening them and offer requests.
But I feel ya, theres way too much taking and not even giving these days on /i/
Request threads are OK but they feel like one too many nowadays. No harm no foul but I'd like to see some drawings just for laughs and giggles sometime. Then again, I'm new here so it'll relatively be a slow board for me and my new-ness.
