Don't know where to start.
What software should I use?
How should I use it? Is there a website that can help me learn how to do this?
I'm at level 0 right now.
Alright, guys. Despite popular opinion, I think we should start taking a swing at the /aco/ logo for the 4cc. I'm not saying we should make a team or even making the logo official, so calm tf down. I want this to be a comfy thread where we toss around logo ideas.
I brought up this idea to /4ccg/. Just an idea of Korra kicking a soccerball in the shape of a Mickey Mouse head (both of which I can see becoming pretty prominent to the board). Can anyone do a better job?

Since when do boards have logos?

Oh the cup, my head wasn't on straight. Sorry there.
What do you guys think of the logo for the flyer in my lifting club? Any suggestions?
Kinda looks like the handicapped logo
>>236008
the stance is kinda odd
also when i first quickly looked at it, it looked like ''HITLER'S-''
but thats probably just me
It doesn't come together. The logo breaks into combined elements rather than looking unison.
The base concept isn't anything unique, so saving is not worth the effort. Do you have any more concepts or sketches? You should do many of them before settling on a one and then refining it.
Also a reminder, when presenting a logo for critique you should abstain from any unwanted elements, like the bottom wave. You can do whatever you want when showing to the client, but to other designers it is best to view it as it really is.
I need to buy a laptop for graphic design so I can take it to school. What laptop should I buy? Pc or mac?

How is this even a question

mac?
buy a mac!
>one time I used the eraser tool to get rid of some edges
>I make logos in Photoshop sometimes
>I hired someone else to make my business card design
who else /mischief/ here?
>>235833
>tfw don't know how to make simple lines that look like hand drawn drafted ones so I'm about to scan in my sketch and erase the paper background
not so much mischief as self-taught
>>235834
that's actually the proper way to do it.
>>235833
-don't see what's wrong with using the eraser tool, that's what the other end of the wacom pen is for.
+photoshop logos
>I always try using vector magic instead of tracing over the image I want to vectorize. Usually keep the vecor magic traces and correct them in Illustrator afterwards.
>I have illegally downloaded after effects templates, pimped em and sold them as my own work.
>content-aware fill 4 life
>cracked adobe suit and 784638 plug-ins

>that's actually the proper way to do it.
Are you sure? I feel like a fucking idiot for doing it.
company pays me $$$$ to make logo for them
i deliver
they pay me
then they fuck it all up and use it incorrectly
what's the point of spending 40 hours stressing over a design when other people take a dump on it?
how do i control the way its used next time?
You don't. They paid you, it's up to them how to use it.

im in the wrong game then
>>238036
answer- you cant. Some clients are shit like this one, others will respect you more as a designer. I hate to say it, but the more powerful the company, the more freedom and respect the designer gets. Head for that market, not the people at Design Crowd.
