I just saw Civil War. Did I completely misunderstand this character? Between Gravity Falls and Steven Universe, I feel like SU's 11 minutes served it better than GF's 22 minutes, because SU could explore a lot of little, essential details, while overall people still complain about GF feeling rushed because it didn't have follow through on a lot of stuff such as Pacifica after the Mansion episode, or Wendy in general.
Why is it that so many people think that Superman is difficult to relate to? Seems to me that, out of anyone, he hits close to home for most people.

I've said this before: it really boils down to the "third" element of being a Mary Sue/Gary Stu. People -- in the comics -- praise Superman to no end, and the "point" of most talked about (and hence most influential) Superman stories is to cement Superman as the most important and most human character of the DCU. At the end of the day, Superman is praise, in universe, as at least trying his best and being a good guy for doing so.
Batman can be conflicting (in bad ways), with him being too rich to relate to or being good at everything. But at the end of the day, Gotham is still fucked; Bruce is still alone; he pushes people away from him; etc. There's always one more big problem in Bruce's life, and that element makes him relatable. Because on a conscious level, we can imagine being in his shoes and doing things differently -- but unconsciously and perhaps realistically, we know that things aren't always going to work out, that even if you do things right, people aren't going to like you, and it's not as if someone is going to pat you on the back and say "aw shucks, well, *I* think you're a good person, anon!"

Superman is a literal god. I think I'd relate more to a crazy guy dressed up as a bat than a guy that piloted a giant plot created robot duplicate of himself in a 4-dimensional realm battling against a vampire multiverse god and somehow managed to bring back a cure that has been repeatedly stated as impossible to do.
Meanwhile Batman is a product of himself. He started off wealthy but spent a decade poor and globetrotting and training to become the badass he is now.

We all know that the Joker can't be executed since Gotham can't execute a man that's diagnosed as clinically insane, so why don't they just lobotomize him?
It's clear that there's absolutely now way to rehabilitate the Joker, and he's far too dangerous to let loose back into society, so why has nobody in Arkham thought to give him a lobotomy?
One of the short stories in this was about a new Arkham employee trying to arrange this (Joker even admits to being slightly impressed by the guy's tenacity).

So I just got fired from CW, and I'm bitter, so I'm going to spill a few things.
First off, while I worked on LoT, I know why Arrow is suffering in quality. Last fall, Berlanti and Guggenheim had a falling out, about why, I can't tell you, nobody knows, but it's so bad they barely speak to each other anymore. Arrow season 4 was already mapped out since around July or so of last year, and while shows can take new directions over their run, Guggenheim threw out just about every good idea that the writers had just to spite Berlanti. For example, Berlanti was actually a little annoyed over the over-abundance of Felicity last season, so Guggenheim decided to throw her in as much as possible because it pissed him off.
Now I don't know everything about what Arrow Season 4 was originally like, but I have a few points worth mentioning

They barely interact with each other on Lo, and Berlanti is trying to get Guggenheim kicked off. And by the way, the Actors are sick of this shit too.
Amell tries to put on a good face for the public, but really he really hated how the changes fucked up the plot they were going for. Apparently there was something he was looking forward to doing on the show that he can’t do because of all the changes made. Rickards isn't terribly thrilled about her role too, not so much because of the character, but because of fan reactions.
She reads online comments and browses forums and other sites, including this one, and the hate has gotten to her. She’s also disgusted by her fanbase and wishes that she could go back to having a lesser role if only to calm the fanbase
So yeah, that’s all I know. And to prove to you that I’m not full of shit, Patrick J. Adams is playing Adam Strange. I’m just a set designer, and can’t tell you what the next season is like, but I do know that much. The only reason II know so much about Arrow’s plot was because it all got thrown out and wasn’t a kept secret at the workplace anymore.
