I want to read this comic, but the art is SOOO BAD that I just can't. It's like when I gave up X-Factor v3 when Larry Stroman was on art. It was just offensive to look at.

I started a friend watching the Flash TV show. He doesn't read comics. Thinks the Marvel movies are fun but doesn't obsess over them or anything. But he REALLY likes the Flash. Not in a weird, obsessive way. He just definitely, clearly enjoys it, and is willing to have conversations about it even though he's usually quiet and reserved.
So, what are some good comics to give him to read? It's more the tone of the Flash, its mixing of personal life and superheroics in a way that doesn't feel at all disjointed, and the whole "shit getting realer and realer at a breakneck pace" element that he seems most into. Plus probably Wells being amazing.
Cape stuff preferred.I tend to read more DC but am not particularly prejudiced toward one of the Big 2 over the other.

I decided to take a look onto that old cartoon, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, and the final episode plus the pilot really did get to me. How did you /co/nrads react when the show started and when it ended?
Is there any more great shows that ended on a memorable high note? I wish The Simpsons had planned on taking this route and ended itself as a great show.

I remember as a kid I thought this was a horrible ending.
This is one of those shows that seem good in comparison to everything else that was out a the time, and complete shit in hindsight.
