Season 8 hasn't been confirmed to be the last season yet, a new writer for that season said about a month ago writing it had just finished up, and she wasn't sure if it was the last one. This can be assumed that the last episode doesn't wrap everything up, or she didn't work on it.

It's lucky it opened on a weak weekend AND there hasn't been a big movie (100+mil weekend) in quite some time. My guess is that other studios overestimated people's interested in the *other* sequels and high profile IPs that came before this (including but not limited to: Conjuring 2, Warcraft, Now You See Me 2, TMNT 2, X-Men Apocalypse, Alice 3, Angry Birds, Neighbors 2).
I'm still kind of surprised that it's SO popular. I mean, did people even like Dory enough to want her to have her own movie?

At the moment things in my life aren't going too great, and I can't even do anything recreational to keep me busy due to the circumstances I find myself in. So what am I doing? Resigning myself to just doing literally nothing and moping around, thinking about all that I had and not finding the strength to make things better.I don't drink, though.
