their attempt to modernize the joker to be more reflective of a youthful counterculture unintentionally made itself ridiculous by failing to realize that most people dont see this stuff as actually scary, they see it as some asshole trying to get attention by being intentionally "edgy" and it usually fails.

It's incredible, made me cry the first time I read it.
its a well written memoir about a son trying to understand his father's experience as well as a very direct view into the horrors of being a european jew during world war 2, and was the first comic to win a pulitzer in 1992. I think it's very good, and definitely worth reading

Did you even read the issue? Mister Miracle interrupts before they start shooting. Barda did apparently shoot a solo scene that someone must have a copy of though.

Darkness is just the absence of light, of course it will always lose. I'd be interested in a story where darkness is the hero's main feature and light is the villain's main and the story boils down to chaotic good/neutral vs Lawful evil/neutral.
