So was the magical "bring Bruce's mind back" machine a red herring the entire time?
This makes me worried that Snyder is gonna create some ass pull where "the spirit of Batman is eternal and within Bruce all along, even though we explicitly said it wasn't."

ANAD Avengers: Meh
New Avengers: Fun but predictable
Extraordinary X-Men:Shit
All New Wolverine: Meh
Amazing Spider-Man: typical Slott trash
Doctor Strange: nice art, horrible dialog that turns Stephen into "Tony Stark but with magic"
Herc: pretty good
Ultimates: Nice art and potential for interesting stories; America Chavez mary-sueing needs to end and she needs proper character development/de-Sueing
Illuminati: Pretty good set-up, art looks weird colored
Contest of Champions: Feels like really disposable video game tie in
Iron Man: Started out decent but quickly went to the standard Bendis-quality character assassination and horrible dialog and humor with issue 3
Vision: Easily the best of the bunch and perhaps the only Marvel book that deserves sales and attention

It's pretty good. They don't shy away from how much they messed things up with their inexperience...but they don't get too far into it.

Also I probably worded my post poorly...but what I'm getting at is when people generally think DC it comes down to Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman and Green Lantern if you're being generous
On the opposite end, when people think Marvel they think of any number of the X-Men even irrelevant ones like Gambit or Nightcrawler, any of the Avengers, any of the characters like Daredevil, Punisher, etc
It just seems like DC has a few characters who are loved by more but...

I would put the core of the Avengers and X-Men (Cap, Iron Man, Wolverine, Thor) at least on par with the second tier of DC like Flash, Aquaman, GL, and others.
Spider-Man is as popular as Batman and Superman.
Wonder Woman I would put with those three as well but that is more due to recognition. She's still the person people think of when they think female superhero.
I admit that I mainly watch Star vs the Forces of Evil because I'm Hispanic and Marco is an easy self-insert for me.
