Ehh, at least it only ran for like 100 episodes, even if it kind of sucks it had such a when better stuff like Aaagh! Real Monsters and even All Grown Up lasted like 60, and don't get my me started on Invader Zim.

Hey /co/, you ever think about collaborating to make cartoons?
I mean, I remember back in the early 2000's everyone and their mom had a flash series of some kind, they'd just go on newgrounds and either pay or get volunteer voice actors and then animate the thing themselves. Sure, standards were lower back then, but it's not like it's gotten harder to do it over the years. It just kind of petered out.
So why don't we try? I don't mean the same old "/co/ comes together to make a cartoon" thing, I mean, why don't some of s just make threads to ask for voice actors and writers and animators and shit for our own projects? At least on the voice acting front it's actually kind of surprising how many of you anons are legit quality VAs.
So how about it? doesn't anyone want to make cartoons?

Why was this run so loved? Not trying to start shit, just want to have a conversation about it, can we?
Here's my problems with it, because I think the premise is strong, the execution is just poor. First of all, you're thrown right into the fray with this and Selina's already a mob boss for at least a few months when you jump in. Second of all, you're supposed to care about these characters you've barely seen for a few issues, like, how can I believe Selina actually cares that much about Antonia? They might be "family" but it's so superficial, they didn't even know the other existed until recently. Third, it's incredibly lame to assume nobody knows she was Catwoman, even with the rebooted universe it's still hard to imagine that she was Catwoman for at the very least 3 years and her identity was never publicly revealed(despite her taking that mask off at every turn as if this is a movie and she's a big name actress) meaning she was never caught by the police in the meantime either. Fourth, some scenes are just too damn goofy to take seriously, like meeting up with Black Mask knowing it's a trap but as soon as his muscle pulls a gun she just disarms him with her shoe. Fifth, Stephanie Brown, just...Stephanie Brown. And lastly, I can believe Selina wants to save Gotham but why do the other Calabrese want to save Gotham too? Why must they all also be honorable and good people? not only is it cliche but it would've made for a better read to have Selina be the only "good" person in the title.

When I wanted to start reading superhero comics, I ultimately chose DC because of growing up on TAS for Batman and Superman, plus the Justice League.

That's funny, a few years before I decided I wanted to read capeds I tried the US mainstream comic market, went into a random LCS and picked up a few Xmen comics because I loved Evolution
At the time they were in the thick of some kinda event, whatever that one was where it was an imaginary world where Magneto had won or something? I found it so confusing and my childhood husbando was nowhere to be found so I didn't try again for a few years. I forgot about that.
