Purge the liberals and I mean that seriously. The books have become infested with overt political messages and the writers beating you over the head with their political beliefs and social views instead of just telling stories where good guys fight bad guys and engage in soap opera interpersonal drama.
Even the "political" runs of the past decades managed to maintain a mostly neutral political tone overall and it wasn't just a bunch of "WAAAH TRUMP IS A MEANIE! MUH STRONK WOMYN OF POWER!" bullshit with nothing else going on.
Marvel needs to stop fishing for NYT and WaPo headlines and just create good fucking cape comics which is something DC has finally seemed to actually fucking realize themselves. They also need to stop trying to ride the coattails of the movies because nobody is reading the comics who isn't already a comci fan. Nobody is going to fucking read Civil War II just because something bad happened to Rhodey just like in the movies. Fuck off with that shit.
That, again, comes down to the current generation of lazy writers and editors who have no ideas of their own and find it far easier to just ape pop culture and the MCU.
