How Did The Flash TV show turn out to be better than any capeshit movie? Despite the forced love story lines this is everything you could want from the superhero medium
The showrunners are clearly passionate about the character and the lore, and the cast has great chemistry and respect for the setting. It has heart, and it compensates for its technical shortcomings due to the shoestring budget the CW can afford them.
Plus Grant Gustin, Jesse L. Martin and Tom Cavanagh are all great actors and the foundation the show is built on, so it covers the dramatic bases nicely, while Carlos Valdes has great timing and does great comedy.
Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker and Keinyan Lonsdale are kinda' bland, though.

They are going to show jack actually killing people, which is logically what should have happened given his mind frame, situation, and location that he has been displaced to. It's better than Arrow and Flash in terms of writing, acting, and just general look and presentation.
But if you go in expecting constant references or comic-verse characters, you will be disappointed. There aren't villian of the weeks like Flash and early Arrow.
The first season is slow until it picks up halfway through.
The second season is pretty good.
The third season is great.
There are not many "hype overload" moments like Flash talkbacks have, but it is better television.
