The truth is the Kekmala thing should be a really interesting character arc. Kamala having to deal with her jealousy of Bruno moving on even though that's exactly what she told him to do is actually a very realistic teen drama situation. It should be an excelent chance for Kamala to take stock of herself and her feelings for her best friend and really portray her as realistic and fallible person instead of a costumed cutout who's able to take everything thrown at them with inhuman grace.

But it's just happening so she doesn't look like a bitch when she starts giving Miles spandex handjobs.
Betting hard money Bruno comes out of this arc both looking like an asshole and forever alone.
You know what though? Ms. Marvel shouldn't be a "teen drama" to begin with.
